Rob Donnelly, PhD, MSW, LCSW

Rob has an unwavering passion for serving his community. From direct service to leadership roles, he has worked tirelessly to improve the wellbeing of clients, staff, and the St. Louis community.

Rob began his career in nonprofits in 2006, when he, as a college student, developed a street outreach program that served young people experiencing homelessness. Driven to learn more in order to better serve his community, Rob relocated to St. Louis where he earned his Master’s of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.  He later obtained his PhD in social work from Saint Louis University

Throughout his career, Rob has grown his knowledge in program development, program evaluation, staff development and management, and fiscal management.  His passion for serving his community has not wavered.

Through his work Rob identified a major flaw in the non-profit sector – community voice is all but absent and services are often delivered in a top down approach.  Opportunity House was born from the desire to change this reality; to empower communities to create lasting change.
